This breakfast oatmeal recipe is super easy to make! I used to absolutely hate oatmeal, but cooking it this way definitely helped with making me more open to the idea of having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, it feels like a wholesome hug in a bowl.

*Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Nut Free (depending on plant milk choice)

Servings:
1 medium bowl
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup
Toppings:
1 banana, sliced into coins
Handful frozen blueberries
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp plant-based yoghurt
Procedure:
1. Place all ingredients into a small saucepan.
2. Heat the mixture on a stovetop.
3. As soon as the milk starts bubbling, keep stirring until the mixture thickens. This will take a few minutes.
4. Then transfer the oatmeal to a bowl and top with your favourite toppings (highly recommended).
5. Add a splash of plant milk as the oatmeal will thicken as it cools down.
6. Serve immediately.
