Based on Ovid's Metamorphoses Phaeton, the installation is a translation of the character situated in Walmer Yard, West London.

This spatial proposal explored the relationship between myth, transformation and identity.

The story of Phaeton describes the journey of an arrogant mortal boy who burnt the Earth. Losing control is a central theme of the myth hence a central element of the design. The piece is composed of two datum strips heightening one's senses in the space. Starting at chest level, the datum slowly increases in height until it goes over-head, engulfing and submerging the viewer.
